Local Field Work. No Long Hauls.
Chemco is hiring an experienced Heavy Duty Off-Road Mechanic for a service truck–based role, supporting civil construction equipment on active job sites — all within one hour of Edmonton.
This is hands-on field work with a predictable schedule, strong shop support, and no extended travel or remote rotations.
Work Schedule & Hours
- Multiple shift options available, including straight days
- Flexible scheduling options — we will work with the right candidates to match family and personal commitments
- No multi-day travel
Equipment You’ll Work On
Primarily CAT and John Deere, including:
- Dozers
- Articulated Dump Trucks
- Excavators
- Scrapers
- Civil construction support equipment
What You’ll Be Doing
- Field diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance using a fully equipped service truck
- Preventative maintenance and breakdown response
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Communicate clearly with operations and shop support
- Complete service and repair documentation accurately
- Work safely under Chemco’s established safety systems
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Off-Road) or equivalent experience
- Strong field diagnostic skills
- Experience with CAT and John Deere civil equipment preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset), clean abstract
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (Class 1 considered an asset)
- Self-motivated, organised, and safety-driven
