Job Status 
Full Time – Seasonal (Winnipeg Area)

Job Summary 
FTTH Supervisor – Supervise assigned crew(s) and subcontractor(s) activities. Ensure crew(s) and subcontractors adhere to Municipal, Client and Company safety protocol. Ensure compliance with quality program. The FTTH Supervisor would be responsible for the safe, quality, productive underground construction activities in a assigned build area(s).

Responsibilities 

  • Ensuring crews adhere to safety procedures  
  • Adhere to company and client quality standards
  • Understand and meet production targets
  • Conduct safety inspections
  • Lead daily toolbox meetings and crew stretching program
  • Ensure build area is always safe for public and crew members 
  • Ensure materials and equipment are in good working order and well taken care of by crew(s)
  • Coordinate daily resource plan with Superintendent(s)
  • Report build issues and production status to Superintendent daily
  • Complete daily production reports via company reporting app
  • Ensure daily paperwork (Time sheets, tailgate meetings, etc.) is submitted to office
  • Work with homeowners to mitigate escalations 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements 

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience with FTTH or applicable construction including underground and civil construction
  • Ability to safely lead and direct the work of others
  • Ability to plan and organize crew(s) and subcontractors daily work
  • Ability to read an interpret design blueprints and build specifications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic smartphone skills (use of outlook email and production submission apps)

Work Conditions 

  • 40-60 hours per week during build season depending on build requirements 
  • Travel to various build locations in and around the Winnipeg Area 
  • Report to Superintendent(s)
  • Pay based on experience
