Chemco is hiring a Parts & Fleet Support Technician to support our shop and field mechanics. In this role, you will source, order, receive, and manage parts and inventory for our commercial fleet and heavy-duty transport equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, accurate data-entry skills, and solid knowledge of commercial truck, trailer, and equipment components. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role working directly with mechanics, vendors, and fleet staff to help reduce equipment downtime and keep repairs moving efficiently.

Work Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Monday to Friday day shift
  • Local, shop-based role, home every night
  • No rotational work, camp work, or ongoing travel
  • No shift work
  • Overtime may be required during peak periods or to support breakdowns

What You’ll Be Supporting

  • Commercial trucking fleet, including trucks, trailers, and related equipment
  • Shop-based mechanics

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Source, order, receive, and issue parts for shop and field repairs
  • Work directly with mechanics to identify correct parts and alternatives
  • Coordinate with suppliers, dealers, and vendors
  • Track parts usage, backorders, and delivery timelines
  • Maintain accurate parts, inventory, and fleet records
  • Support scheduled maintenance planning and breakdown response by ensuring parts are available when needed
  • Keep the shop and parts areas organised and functional

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in commercial fleet support, parts management, inventory control, or maintenance coordination
  • Strong understanding of how a mechanic shop or field operation runs
  • Familiarity with Cummings, Detroit, or on-road equipment, trucks and trailer combinations
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment alongside mechanics
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Mechanical background, apprentice experience, or time as a fuel/lube technician is a strong asset
