® Special Repair Units

HOW TO USE THIS CHART. In order to select the appropriate repair unit, determine the size of the injury in the tire by measuring the largest cord area removed after skiving and buffing. Using this injury size, refer to the left or right hand columns in inches or millimeters. Locate the tire’s ply rating along the top of the chart. The correct repair unit corresponds to the intersection of the injury size and ply rating. For example, for a four inch injury on a tire with a ply rating of 18, the correct repair unit would be an A10.
