HOW TO USE THIS CHART. In order to select the appropriate repair
unit, determine the size of the injury in the tire by measuring the
largest cord area removed after skiving and buffing. Using this injury
size, refer to the two left most columns in inches or millimetres. Locate
the tire’s ply/rating along the top of the chart. The correct repair
unit corresponds to the intersection of the injury size and the ply
rating. For example, for a two inch injury in a tire with a ply/rating of
18, the correct repair unit would be an SFUN13/6 (a 13/6 on the following
table -- a 13" patch with a
ply/rating of 6).
